I use mine for DVDs and VHS tapes, so I don't mind that it is not air-tight. Since it is cloth, it might not be ideal for storing clothes in a basement or some place which would require a protective container for your clothes. Also, if you put something heavy in it (such as lots of DVDs), you wouldn't be able to move it frequently because of the flimsy bottom. Mine just sits on the ground and I get things out of it without moving it, which doesn't create that problem. But, if you're storing light-weight items in there and just put it in a clean space such as a closet, these things shouldn't be a problem. It is not heavy-duty, so don't expect to use it as such!Customer Review: Wonderful buy!

After the shoe box incident, I was skeptical about Rubbermaid items but I still went ahead and bought 2 of these because I need to store my winter clothes.
When they arrived and I started filling them out, I was very impressed! The handles are very sturdy, there is plenty of space in them ( I was able to store ALL my winter clothes in 4 of them total!!)and they are not cumbersome to pick up or stack up.
The only thing I found was the "cedar strips" are really small so I ended up adding some extra cedar blocks just to make sure the clothes will be ok until next winter.
Great buy for the price!

I initially ordered one of the storage chests to make sure I would like it and it would serve the purpose I needed (to store out-of-season clothes). Well it not only did that but inspired me to become just a bit more organized in the closet. I ordered three more and they work great. They fit perfectly with the shelving that is part of the Rubbermaid Configurations closet organization system and match the garment bags and laundry hamper from the same canvas collection. I love it! Perfect for sweaters, sweatshirts and winter clothes that I don't need to have in my dresser in July!Customer Review: Not good for transport...

I purchased this product as a gift for someone and the intention was for carrying the organizer and not just storage. While its a great storage product and if that is why you are purchasing it, it's great. It looks nice and will match any decor but for anything other than sitting somewhere in your house, it doesn't hold up. The bottom and top material are super flimsy and when you carry it, you can't carry it by the handles, you have to carry it underneath so it doesn't collapse. This product is good for storage but unfortunately it didn't hold up for my purposes.Customer Review: average...wouldn't buy again

I don't have the "Configurations System". I was just looking for storage. I find these very flimsy. The canvas is not a fine weave so it will be a big dust gatherer withouth being able to really clean it. Haven't used because I need to cut a cardboard/wood an insert for the bottom to make sturdy enough to carry without collaspsing, or I will need to buy two of 22 gal rubbermaid inserts because I bought 2 boxes. I think I prefer the bags that you suck air out of. If you require the look..ok, but for storage it's not really what I hoped.
