I received an Amazon gift card for Christmas and I had been looking for a decent hamper for some time. While I was unable to find something in the stores that was rugged and fit my limited budget, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and construction of this item. When I ordered it, I didn't expect nearly the heft of this great, foldable hamper. As can be seen in the description of it, the hamper is only 23 inches high. That didn't seem like much to me, but it is actually quite roomy, and I estimate it can hold two loads at a time - maybe three if you crush your clothes down.
Great buy, and I would recommend it to anybody who is looking for a high quality hamper without spending the extra dough.

Price point- more than acceptable at half off- $10. We are transitioning from our college collapsible nylon net hampers to grown-up hampers ;-). Upon first opening the package, I thought the hamper was going to be too small, but it is not. We purchased two hampers, one for dark color laundry and one for light color and delicate laundry. It's been 2 weeks and they store a solid weeks worth of laundry for 1 person/hamper. I may purchase another one for the bathroom. Open the box, set up the hamper and they are ready to go- no off-gassing needed. They look neat and simple and complement bedroom decor without being a wicker hunk that is impossible to dust. Highly recommend.Customer Review: It's a little too tall and long for a petite person to carry comfortably.

I am 5 foot 2 inches with normal length arms, and I find this basket to be non ergonomic because the handle holes are too high to be comfortable. I have to bend my arms in an awkward way to avoid having the basket drag on the floor.
I guess I have to go back to a space hogging, low height, wide laundry basket... sob... when my biggest dream was a space saving tall hamper...
My impression that the "fit model" for this hamper was a man of about 5' 10". If Rubbermaid cared, they should have made sure there were holes at every level so people of different heights can use this thing.

I've had this hamper for a few weeks now and I love it.
I throw all my dirty clothes into it, workout, professional, casual, you name it, and it doesn't hold onto any of the smells. It folds up conveniently to hide if it's empty and is still small enough to hide in the closet if I have company coming over (I have a tiny little apartment). It holds about 2 1/2 loads of laundry in it and when I carry it by the handles, it doesn't buckle or move around.
Haven't had it in the bathroom - no idea how it reacts to moisture.
I would recommend it for anyone looking for a hamper.

I bought this to replace my son's baby hamper, which was becoming too small. The size is perfect for his laundry alone, and the handles make it super easy to move the hamper around. I decided to buy two more for my husband and I - we've been using a big basket that is just taking up too much space now. The hamper is lined with plastic, and while you can't take out the liner to clean it, so far, this hasn't been much of an issue. You can fold up the hamper and tuck it away - not that I can imagine doing that with the amount of laundry we all create, but it's still a great option for storage.
