Customer Review: the best for laundry portability

We have a couple steps between the bedroom (where dirty laundry gathers) and the garage (where the washer/dryer is). So all of those nice laundry sorters on wheels were out. We got 3 of these and man are they nice--easy to carry, a "wipe-down" interior lining, and lots of capacity. They dont look to shabby either--we leave them out in the room when they are at their permanent location. Low price compared to all of those stainless steel hampers and such. I purchase three of Rubbermaid 4D06 Configurations 23-Inch Fold-able Laundry Hampers at the end of June, 2010. And in early September, one of them has the bottom stitching broken. We do laundry once a week and the basic moves are just lift up, hold it to the laundry room, put down, and after laundry, lift up, hold it back to bathroom, put down. I cannot believe the quality is so bad that it can't even last three months. I heard the hampers from IKEA are better and cheaper.Customer Review: Foldable hamper

Well constructed, a lot heavier than I thought. With it full of clothes it weights more than I'd like. You would not want to put damp or wet clothes in this hamper. The fact that it is lined with plastic would set up conditions for mildew. I'm not sure how well it will wipe down if there are marks on the outside muslin fabric. It could show water marks if you tried to wipe or wash the marks away. I may go back to the little mesh foldables and save my back.Customer Review: The Perfect Hamper!

I need to buy more of these; they are great! They are flexible, durable, and fold up neatly. They're also tall to fit even more than a full load of laundry. They hold up to expanding if you over-stuff them, too. The color is also nice, as it isn't an eyesore. The fabric has a nice outside texture, and the inside liner is great so you don't have to worry about putting anything dirty into it (helpful for families with kids). These hampers are very useful. The inside has a plastic coating, the outside is canvas, with well-positioned cut-out handles. Sides are moderately stiff. Very reasonably priced. I bought two, to separate laundry. They are lightweight. The height can be both a positive and negative-- it is a bit awkward to carry them, but two fit well side-by-side in the closet. Because of the awkward carrying, i gave this item four instead of five stars.
